Serious pinhookers love vendors that have a proven record for selling youngsters capable of winning big races and also turning a profit in the ring as yearlings, which is why this draft for the 2012 Inglis Australian Weanling Sale in Sydney next week is a must see.
Fairhill Farm will offer a quality draft of eight weanlings and they are well worth inspecting given this season's Group I winning juvenile Choice Bro was purchased from this very draft in 2010 for $40,000.
"Choice Bro is one of three notable weanlings we sold here in 2010, the other two being Hot Fever, who was the first winner for Haradasun and sold for $110,000 and Fastnet Rock filly Demasheen, who made $140,000 and then topped the NZB Ready to Run Sale last year when she sold to Phil Sly for $450,000,” said Mike O'Donnell of Fairhill Farm.
The draft this year features:
Lot 41 Colt High Chaparral (IRE) x Clevedon
Lot 63 Colt Magic Albert x Elita
Lot 101 Colt Dane Shadow x Lady Charlotte
Lot 144 Colt Shaft x Our Scene Steeler (NZ)
Lot 171 Colt Not a Single Doubt x Sandy Desert (USA)
Lot 177 Filly Magic Albert x Simply Royal (NZ)
Lot 190 Filly Mossman x Stratance
Lot 203 Filly Dane Shadow x Unistudent
Fairhill Farm will also offer a well-bred racemare as Lot 642. Djinda sure to generate interest being a three-quarter sister-in-blood to stakes-winner Litter by Exceed and Excel.
Litter was bought by Patinack Farm off the track for $860,000 at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in 2008 and her first foal, a filly by Husson (Arg) was sold by Patinack at the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale for $120,000.
