All Inglis Ready2Race breeze up vision NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Successful breeze up sessions in NSW, Victoria and New Zealand have been completed ahead of the Inglis Reacy2Race Sale and all vision and times are now available online.

A total of 277 2YOs breezed across Warwick Farm, Wangaratta and Taupo over the past five days, with 226 – or 82% - breezing in a time under 11 seconds.

“We had more nice breezes at Warwick Farm than ever before and I know Brett (Gilding) and Will (Stott) were equally pleased with what they saw at Taupo and Wangaratta respectively,” Inglis Bloodstock Sales Manager Harry Bailey said.

“Vendors will be presenting the best credentialled, best prepared group of horses that we have ever had for the sale and it is very exciting.

“The sale has produced the likes of Tron Bolt, Libertad, Rubylot, Hard Kick, Tavi Time, Democracy Manifest, Cristal Clear, Bev’s Nine and many other talented racehorses in recent years, so naturally we are encouraging anyone in the market for a nice horse to take the sale very seriously.”

At Taupo in New Zealand breezes were conducted on the course proper, with the track officially rated a Soft 6.

Lot 53 - a Cosmic Force x Munjai gelding - and a Zousain x Undoubtedly So colt (lot 158), both consigned by Prima Park, stopped the clock at 9.87 seconds and 9.90 seconds respectively for the 200m course proper gallop.

Prima Park’s Kelly Van Dyk was thrilled to have two juveniles break the 10 second barrier and was far from shocked they were able to perform so strongly.

“It was a great day overall, everything went really smoothly, it was a well organised breeze session and we couldn’t be happier,’’ Van Dyk said.

“With the Cosmic Force and the Zousain, they’re two very nice horses that we’ve loved the whole way through, it really also was no surprise because I know how good both of them are and hopefully they’re well received come sale time.’’

The largest of the breeze up sessions was at Warwick Farm on Friday when 116 2YOs performed on the course proper, which was rated a Good 4.

The Hannover Lodge-prepared lot 35 (Capitalist x Lunar Light) was particularly impressive, clocking 9.96secs for the 200m breeze.

“I watched him 10 days ago at Muswellbrook and was impressed then by his technique and professionalism so I think the time he’s breezed in is just a reflection of the fact he was ready to do this and he’s a really nice horse,’’ Hannover’s Jade Findlay said.

“We’ve started with such good horse flesh this year, people have bought and sent us horses really appropriate for this sale and they’re really lovely 2YOs. That’s made our job a lot easier and it’s helping the profile of the sale too that we’re starting with such good horses.”

Another vendor thrilled with how the Warwick Farm breeze session went was Blake Ryan, who breezed 18 juveniles on the day.

“It’s been brilliant, all of mine ran within a second of each other, the day went really well – as good a breeze day as I’ve ever been to – everything just operated so smoothly,’’ Ryan said.

“The Home Affairs (ex Dream Cirque, lot 263) ran 10.17, he’s a stallion taking all before him at the moment, he’s a half to a G2 winner (Lightsaber), he’s an Easter yearling so he’s tick, tick, tick and it was really satisfying to see him breeze the way he did.

“This is my 10th Inglis Ready2Race Sale under my own name and it’s a credit to Inglis and the whole team to see how much this sale has changed and how strong it is now and how well its graduates are doing on the track all around the place.’’

The final breeze up session was held at Wangaratta yesterday where 110 youngsters galloped on the course proper, which was rated a Good 4.

Lot 250 – the Justify x Crystal Fountain colt from Hawthorne Lane – stopped the clock at 10.11secs for his 200m breeze, to the delight of vendor Shane McGrath.

“We were thrilled, the track presented in excellent condition, it was fair for everybody, it was just a really smooth day and we certainly left happy,’’ McGrath said.

“The horses in our draft, we have bought them at various sales and they have all been bought specifically for the Inglis Ready2Race Sale, they’ve been in our program ever since, there’s a variety of sires, they’re all well educated, they’ve galloped up really well and there’s plenty of horse there for the next owner.

“It’s lining up to be the best Ready2Race Sale Inglis has ever put on, it’s the best line up of horses we’ve ever had at a breeze up sale so hopefully the stars align at Riverside in a couple of weeks.’’

The Inglis Ready2Race Sale catalogue is the best 2YO sale catalogue in Australia or New Zealand in 2026.

Of the 321 catalogued lots, 232 were acquired at auction specifically for this sale and 35% of catalogued lots are siblings to or progeny of black type performers (compared with 26% and 16% for the equivalent sales at New Zealand Bloodstock and Magic Millions respectively).

The Inglis catalogue also contains more 2YO colts and geldings by the sires that matter like Home Affairs, Too Darn Hot, Zoustar, Anamoe, Starspangledbanner, Harry Angel, Toronado, Frankel, Justify, Hellbent, I Am Invincible and many, many others.

Inspections for the Inglis Ready2Race Sale begin at Riverside on Monday October 12.

The sale begins at 11am Thursday October 15.
