Chatswood Stud is proud to announce that MRC Caulfield Guineas (GR 1) winner ANACHEEVA will commence his stud career at our Seymour property this coming season.

ANACHEEVA will join his former Peter Moody stablemate at Chatswood, the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner REWARD FOR EFFORT (commenced his stud career at Chatswood in 2011 covering 150 mares, the most of any Victorian stallion last season)

Won the premier stallion making race on the Australian calendar, The Caulfield Guineas also won by REDOUTE'S CHOICE, LONHRO, STARSPANGLEDBANNER, SHOW A HEART GROSVENOR, SOVEREIGN RED, LUSKIN STAR & VAIN etc.

Following ANACHEEVA's win in the 2010 Caulfield Guineas, Australia's leading trainer Peter Moody commented, "He has stamped himself as "the best 3YO colt in the land”.

ANACHEEVA (pictured) had only 12 race starts and defeated Group 1 winners TOORAK TOFF (3 times from 3 starts), JIMMY CHOUX, YOSEI, SOUTHERN SPEED, SHOOTOFF, ILOVETHISCITY and SKILLED.

Chatswood is thrilled to be standing another impeccably bred Group 1 Winner of a major stallion making race. We have launched the stud careers of Champion sires INVINCIBLE SPIRIT and FLYING SPUR and are committed to ensuring ANACHEEVA is also provided with the best opportunity.

The ANACHEEVA deal was brokered by Brett Howard's Randwick Bloodstock, who commented, "Anacheeva will be one of the best stallions retiring to stud this season. He was extremely unlucky not to have won a Group 1 as a 2YO and at the top of his game, he was the best 3YO in the country at a mile.”

The original racing owners of ANACHEEVA, Geoff Guest and Jill Kewish have retained an interest in the horse. Geoff and Jill own the renowned Rockmount spelling and pre-training facility managed by Damien Murphy at Longwood. Chatswood and trainer Peter Moody also have a shareholding in the horse, forming the base of a very strong syndicate.

ANACHEEVA will be syndicated in similar fashion to REWARD FOR EFFORT last season. Shareholders will be provided with two (2) nominations each season. ANACHEEVA will stand at a Service Fee of $8,800 inc. GST. Some Shares are available at $20,376, including mortality insurance, total and permanent infertility plus first season congenital infertility insurance for the initial season.
