August Thoroughbred Sale

Buyers from all over Australia flocked to Oaklands today and were not disappointed; with 227 Lots on offer the sale grossed $1,251,350 with an excellent clearance rate of 86%.

As expected stakes placed Courtney’s Cuddles ignited strong bidding once she stepped into the ring, eventually being knocked down to the bid of Tim Stewart for $125,000.

Melbourne Operations Manager, Peter Heagney commented, “The Inglis Melbourne Sales ring continues to delight both sellers and buyers with yet another buoyant auction, reflected by excellent prices and a very pleasing clearance rate.”

Entries for the Melbourne Spring Carnival Ready To Run Sale close next week on Friday August 26 th. The standard of entries so far has been high with the following stallions being represented; Danehill, Redoutes Choice, Testa Rossa, Royal Academy, More Than Ready, Red Ransom, General Nediym, Rory’s Jester, Danewin, Quest For Fame, Fusaichi Pegasus and Anabaa.
