Young Coolmore sire Oratorio (IRE) is running hot with the likes of Manawanui and Torio's Quest , the triple Group I winning son of Danehill adding a new stakes-winner to his tally overnight in South Africa.

The Justin Snaith trained Soweto Slew took out the 1200 metre Listed Sophomore Sprint for three year-olds at Kenilworth by a length and a quarter, his overall record now three wins and three placings from nine starts.

Raced by Hassan Adams, Soweto Slew was purchased by James Bester for $80,000 from the Crowning Stone draft at the 2010 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale and is one of six winners, but the first stakes-winner, for Rose a Slew (USA), a half-sister to US Group I winner Codex.

Soweto Slew (pictured as yearling) is the 14th stakes-winner worldwide for Oratorio (IRE), whose offspring include Group I winners Banchee, Beethoven and Manawanui.

Oratorio (pictured) stands at a value fee of $11,000.
