Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale Entries Closing Soon

Breeders, stud masters and owners are reminded that entries are closing soon for the 2014 Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale.

The modern streamlined format of the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale is proving a big hit with vendors. Recent additions include Group 1 winners Dariana (in foal to Street Cry) and Russeting (in foal to So You Think) to be offered by Bellview Park Stud.

Leading Western Australian breeder Bob Peters is reducing his considerable broodmare band at the sale with an unreserved reduction featuring over 20 well-bred matrons in foal to some of the Hunter Valley leading sires.

Entries must be finalised by Friday 21 March 2014. Online entries can be lodged HERE. Hard-copy entry forms can also be downloaded HERE.

“Strong drafts have been received from the country’s leading breeders with the sale shaping up to be an event not to be missed,” said Jonathan D’Arcy, Inglis’ Sydney Bloodstock Director.

Weanlings entered in the sale include the progeny of leading sires Fastnet Rock, Northern Meteor, Street Cry, Lonhro, Snitzel, High Chaparral, Sebring, as well as highly anticipated first crop stallions So You Think, Smart Missile, Foxwedge, Poet’s Voice, Canford Cliffs and Helmet.

Australia’s new headline thoroughbred breeding stock sale will be conducted in Sydney on 4, 5, 6 & 7 May 2014.

24 days after the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale gives race filly owners the chance to sell their prized horses after the Sydney Carnival and breeders the chance to sell broodmares and weanlings First, Fast and Together for Better.
