Superstar sprinting mare Black Caviar has given birth to a second foal, a colt by former champion two-year-old Sebring, in the Hunter Valley.
Part-owner Pam Hawkes confirmed that the champion mare delivered her new foal without incident on Wednesday night.
The colt is a half brother for Black Caviar’s first foal, a filly by Exceed and Excel, who is now a yearling.
Black Caviar is revered as one of the greats of the Australian turf having won all 25 of her racetrack starts, including an unprecedented 15 Group 1 successes.
Sebring enjoyed a brilliant two-year-old career winning the Golden Slipper and AJC Sires Produce before retiring ahead of his three-year-old season.
His oldest progeny are only five, but he has already produced 14 individual stakeswinners including multiple Group 1 winners Dissident and Criterion.
