Bonus For Inglis Melbourne Sale

29th Jul 2008

The Inglis Melbourne August Thoroughbred Sale, which has been extended to 2 days (August 14 & 15) has received a bonus which doesn’t appear in the catalogue.

Lot 88, the Irish bred Danzig mare Mariah is carrying a positive test to leading young sire Pins, sire of last year’s Cox Plate winner El Segundo. Catalogued as not in foal, this mare is in fact due to foal to the Waikato based son of Snippets in September. She will be offered by leading thoroughbred nursery Wood Nook Farm.

Mariah is a half sister to Group One winner King Charlemagne and Group Three winner Meshaheer. Her dam is the Santa Anita Group One winner Race The Wild Win. The resultant foal will carry a similar Snippets / Danzig cross to young sires Snowland and Snippetson.

Inglis’ Victorian Bloodstock Director Peter Heagney said “ The resultant foal will have a pedigree that would appeal to buyers at any sale in Australasia and there aren’t too many opportunities remaining to buy young Danzig mares anywhere in the world.”
