Former jockey turned trainer Craig Carmody can look forward to a bright future with his promising stayer Single after his impressive win at Rosehill on Saturday.
The four year-old, by High Chaparral from the Nashwan mare Myself, showed class to runa way at the finish of the 1800m event by a length and a half.
“He's very classy and has some black type races in store for him,” said his rider Nathan Berry.
A modest $25,000 purchase from the Kia Ora Stud draft at the 2009 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale from Session II, Single has won four of his eight starts earning $142,400.
He is a half-brother to three Northern Hemisphere bred winners including stakes-placed Ghayth and Ego being from the imported stakes-winner Myself.
