Catalogues available for earlier Australian Weanling & Bloodstock Sale

Catalogues are now available for the 2013 Inglis Australian Weanling & Bloodstock Sale which will be conducted at Newmarket on 24 and 25 June.

Clients are reminded that the sale has been moved forward to Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 June in order to assist both buyers and vendors attending the Classic Yearling Sale Winter Book on Sunday 23 June also at Newmarket.

The weanling session provides buyers with a great opportunity to pinhook quality young stock for 2014 Select Yearling Sales that have the credentials to join the growing list of Group 1 winners sold at the sale such as Secret Admirer, Luckygray and Choice Bro, or juvenile Group winners like Rising Empire, Gobi Ranger and Excites Zelady.

Pinhookers had great success with a wide range of weanlings from last year’s Inglis Australian Weanling & Bloodstock Sale when re-offering them as yearlings, such as the Fastnet Rock colt from Bird Of Fire that topped the 2013 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

254 weanlings have been catalogued for this year’s sale. All will be offered from 10:00am on Monday 24 June.

The sale has received considerable support from many leading nurseries such as Bellerive, Coolmore, Corumbene, Edinglassie, Eliza Park, Gooree Park Stud, Huntworth, Invermien, Macquarie, Newgate, Range Park, Rheinwood, Sefton Park, Turangga, Torryburn, Vinery, Widden and Yarraman.

The weanling session includes strong representation from Australia’s leading sires such as Exceed And Excel, Fastnet Rock, Lonhro, Snitzel, Stratum, Choisir, Encosta de Lago, Not A Single Doubt, High Chaparral, Reset, Al Maher, Charge Forward, Dane Shadow, Danehill Dancer, Danewin, Domesday, Flying Spur, Magic Albert, Northern Meteor and Sebring.

Much anticipation surrounds the first progeny of highly credentialed first crop stallions to be offered at the sale such as Beneteau, Congrats, Hinchinbrook, Lookin at Lucky, Lope de Vega, Rothesay, Shellscrape, Star Witness, Starspangledbanner, Stryker and Tickets.

The weanling catalogue also includes the offspring of young stakes winning mares She’s Got Gears, Romare, Satin Robes, Silvercup Baby, Hairy, Song Of Hope, Camille’s Appeal and Kimmy Potter, plus siblings to Group 1 winners Cesario, Eremein and Irish Lights.

The Bloodstock section of the sale will be offered on Tuesday 25 June starting at 10:00am.

68 Select Session Broodmares will start the offerings on 25 June. They will be followed by 35 General Session Broodmares and 40 unbroken and racing stock.

Stakes performed mares to be offered in June include Wonderer (in foal to Northern Meteor), Dragon Maiden (in foal to Time Thief), Joontoo Gemini (in foal to Stratum), Miss Hijinx (in foal to Dane Shadow) and Palabiro (in foal to Statue Of Liberty),

Also catalogued are the dams of stakes winners Joku, Chickens, I Am Invincible, Tron Kingdom and Smashing, plus stakes performed fillies and mares straight of the track such as Fill The Page, Royal Bender and Meghalaya.
