Racenet - Brad Waters - Thursday, 13 January 2011

TAB Sportsbet is offering punters the chance to back star mare Black Caviar at better than even money seven weeks ahead of her appearance in the Group I Newmarket Handicap (1200m) at Flemington.

Black Caviar has started as an odds-on favourite at her past seven runs, but TAB Sportsbet has installed the unbeaten sprinter as a $2.30 chance to take out the March 5 feature.

The John McNair-trained powerhouse Hay List is a $7.50 chance to square the ledger with Black Caviar in the Newmarket Handicap, while dual Group I-winning three-year-old Star Witness is a $9 chance.

Ortensia is on the fourth line of Newmarket betting at $15, ahead of Love Conquers All at $16 and Reward For Effort at $17.

Meanwhile, TAB Sportsbet has opened nine-year-old marvel Zipping as a $5 favourite to win back-to-back Group I Australian Cups.

The Lloyd Williams owned galloper broke through for his first Group I win in the 2010 Australian Cup before going on to win the Group I Turnbull Stakes in the spring.

The Mark Kavanagh-trained Whobegotyou is a $5.50 second pick ahead of his stablemate Shocking at $6.50.

Heart Of Dreams finished fourth in last year’s Australian Cup and is a $9 chance to win the 2011 edition of the $1 million event.

Caulfield Guineas winner Anacheeva is the $8 opening favourite to win the Group I Australian Guineas.
