Next month's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale has received some notable updates in the past week via Phelan Ready and Elusive Lad.
Classic has enjoyed a big 12 months among the Group 1 ranks, spearheaded by Australia's highest rated three-year-old Whobegotyou.
In October, the son of Street Cry became the 3rd Classic graduate to claim G1 Caulfield Guineas success this decade, joining God's Own and In Top Swing.
Other Classic G1 winners this year have been dual winner Typhoon Zed, New Zealand's Tell A Tale and the Doncaster hero Triple Honour.
Phelan Ready caused a major boilover when coming from well back to win Saturday's $2M Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
The son of More Than Ready is from the G3 Adelaide Guineas winner Nancy Eleanor (Blevic), who has a bay filly being prepared by Kitchwin Hills as Lot 374 at next month's Classic.
Ironically, the filly is by General Nediym – the stallion who was denied a second MM success with Paprika when Phelan Ready arrived on Saturday.
At Wyong yesterday, Elusive Lad made a most promising debut when winning by five lengths.
Elusive Lad, a son of Elusive Quality, is a $35,000 graduate of the 2007 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
He is from the Scone Listed winner Little Pattie (Polish Patriot), who is also the dam of Sydney winner Glenbawn Star (Fantastic Light).
While Glenbawn Star and Elusive Lad are by Darley stallions, Jomar Park Stud will offer a bay filly by Coolmore's former shuttler Johannesburg as Lot 320 at Classic.
This is the family of the 1988 AJC Oaks winner Just Now (Semipalatinsk), whose representatives include Startell, Telltina, Scenic Warrior, Shiva's Revenge and this season's Listed winning filly Sara's Choice – herself a $25,000 Classic graduate.
