Clear Mountain Fairview Breaker Graduate Flys South

Promising Queensland two-year-old colt, Tax Evader, a breaker graduate from Clear Mountain Fairview Stud, will be flown to Melbourne on Tuesday to contest the opening race of the $2.6 million Inglis Series for 2010 yearling sale graduates at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate day, October 23.
The $250,000 race is restricted to two-year-olds nominated for the Inglis Race Series, now known as the ‘Inglis Banner’ which was formerly the Inglis Juvenile and has been renamed in honor of inaugural winner Starspangledbanner (pictured).
Tax Evader, an eye-catching second to the unbeaten Double Impact, in the heavy conditions at Eagle Farm last Saturday is trained at Toowoomba by Michael Nolan, who campaigned former stable star, Laurie’s Lottery, in Melbourne in the late 90s before returning to Queensland to prevail in the Doomben 10,000.
A bargain buy son of Ad Valorem and Zebithea, Tax Evader cost Toowoomba racing enthusiast and media personality David Silver only $16,000 at the Inglis Classic Sale in January.
Silver syndicated the colt with Toowoomba race caller Pat O’Shea to listeners of their radio show on the Darling Downs who formed ‘The Last Stride Syndicate’.
"Tax Evader will fly out from Brisbane after working anti-clockwise at Clifford Park which Michael Nolan (trainer) has specialty arranged with the Club," Silver said.
"He will go straight to Caulfield and stay with Mick Price where he can settle in and train for the remainder of the week.
"These opportunities do not come around all that often and is such a buzz for all the owners.”
Tax Evader arrived at Clear Mountain Fairview immediately after the Inglis Classic Sale and commenced his breaking-in and education program under the specialized supervision of stud manager Mick Frappell.
“He (Tax Evader) has always been a well conformed colt with a brilliant temperament and great attitude,” Frappell said.
Tax Evader earned an interstate campaign with a strong finishing performance at Eagle Farm last Saturday when he struck severe early interference and came from near last on the turn to finish an unlucky second.
“He (Tax Evader) was squeezed after 200 meters and consequently shot straight out the back," Silver said. "It was an unbelievable run because 200 meters from home he was still six lengths off the leader.”
The colt was backing up from a game debut third in the opening two-year-old race of the season in Queensland, the Fitton Insurance Hopeful Plate, 1000m, at Clifford Park, Toowoomba, on September 25.
The owners are hoping that Tax Evader can emulate the recent outstanding interstate carnival performances of fellow Toowoomba gallopers, Captain Sonador (Epsom winner at Randwick) and Poor Judge (third to More Joyous in Group One company at Caulfield.).
"The way our Toowoomba horses have been performing down south, anything is possible for us," an excited Silver said.
Tax Evader is also a speller resident of Clear Mountain Fairview.
