Close Relations To Sacred Kingdom at Inglis Great Southern Sale

The 2009 Inglis Great Southern Sale, held this week May 18-21 in Melbourne, features two close relations, including a half sister to the world champion Sacred Kingdom, who recaptured his best form to break the track record in last night's G1 KrisFlyer Sprint in Singapore.

SACRED KINGDOM ($200,000 2005 Premier, 5g Encosta De Lago-Courtroom Sweetie) is now the winner of 12 races in 18 starts for earnings topping A$4million and is the 21st individual Inglis graduate to win at Group 1 level since August 1.

On Thursday, Eliza Park will offer Sweet Octagonal (Octagonal), an eight-year-old half-sister to Sacred Kingdom as Lot 626 at the Great Southern Sale.

Eliza Park also have Sweet Octagonal's Delago Brom weanling filly to be offered tomorrow afternoon as Lot 302.

The Victorian breeding industry was showcased in great light at Singapore's International meeting.

Sacred Kingdom and Pompeii Ruler, who mixed it with the best when fourth in the G1 S$3M Singapore Airlines International Cup, were both bred in Victoria and offered for sale as yearlings through the Inglis Oaklands complex.

The next four days is another showcase of the Victorian industry with today and tomorrow's weanling sessions to be followed by two days of bloodstock on Wednesday and Thursday.

For those that cannot make it to Oaklands this week, the sale is being broadcast via Inglis Sale Day live, with Online Bidding and Make an Offer also available.
