Gai Waterhouse’s impressive Northern Meteor filly Cosmic Endeavour is heading to Brisbane for some Group 1 glory.
Following her stunning win in the $400,000 Inglis Scone Guineas (1400m) last Saturday, it has been confirmed this morning she will now go to Brisbane for the Group 1 $500,000 Tatt’s Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 21.
Gai’s Racing Manager, Adrian Bott, confirmed with Racing Network today the filly was heading for the Group 1.
“She has shown a lot over the Carnival and really come on,” Bott said.
"She had been racing well on affected ground but returning to firm ground on Saturday was something she really appreciated, and she has come through that so well.
"She will now go on to the Tatt’s Tiara,” Bott explained.
That Group 1 mares-only race is standard weight-for-age, thus the three-year-old fillies have a decided advantage over their older rivals.
Cosmic Endeavour has now raced just 11 times for four wins and more than $623,000 in prize-money, and her move north would appear to be exactly at the right time.
