Cranbourne breeze ups

A Sepoy colt prepared by Frankie Stockdale clocked the fastest time in the first round of breeze ups at Cranbourne today.

A record 140 two-year-olds were showcased at the Victorian circuit in front of a solid crowd of vendors, prospective buyers and interested onlookers.

The only Sepoy youngster on show stopped the clock at 10.26 seconds for his 200m breeze up.

He was one of 64 juveniles to break 11 seconds on the Good track.

Inglis’ Victorian Bloodstock Manager Simon Vivian described the day as “an outstanding success’’.

“The vendors turned their horses out in terrific fashion and that was proven with the very, very good times run throughout the day,’’ Vivian said.

“All the horses appeared very well educated and had obvious ability which augers well for their prospective sale at the Inglis Ready2Race in Sydney on October 4.’’

The five fastest times recorded at Cranbourne today were:

  • 10.26s – Sepoy x Rossa Mia (Lot 73) (pictured)
  • 10.32s – Moshe x Curtail (Lot 195)
  • 10.39s – Smart Missile x Asshewaqua (Lot 153)
  • 10.55s – Statue Of Liberty x Saratoga Miss (Lot 77)
  • 10.56s – Star Witness x Commaura (Lot 186)
