Deep Field and Brazen Beau to clash

Star sprinters Deep Field and Brazen Beau have been confirmed to meet at the scene of their Derby Day victories.

The pair will take part in an exciting preview to the upcoming feature sprints in Melbourne in a course proper jumpout at Flemington on Friday morning.

The 800-metre workout will be the continuation of their preparations for the $500,000 Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) at the same track eight days later.

It will herald the return of the Chris Waller-trained Brazen Beau at the scene of his Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) victory on 1 November.

The Hawkes Racing-prepared Deep Field, who won the Group 2 TAB.com.au Stakes (1200m) on the same day, will be having his second jumpout this time in, having won an 800m workout last week.

Deep Field’s stablemate London Lolly, Gai Waterhouse’s talented-but-erratic Liberation and imported galloper Guest Of Honour, now trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, are among the others in the hitout that launches a big day of jumpouts.
