Digital launches October (Late) catalogue, while online graduates fly the flag in two hemispheres

The October (Late) Online Sale has opened for bidding, with 192 lots catalogued including a dispersal of seven racehorses from the estate of the late owner/breeder Trevor Stuckey.

Stuckey – who died in March aged 91 – and his partner Penny Yang raced horses with the suffix “To Win”.

Their colours of dark blue, pale blue chevrons, striped cap and white pom pom were made famous by five-time G1 winner Racing To Win and later, Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting To Win.

Among the entries is Stakes winner Spending To Win (Snitzel), a winner of more than $500,000 in prizemoney and while a 7YO, was racing in consistent form last preparation with Peter and Paul Snowden including a victory in the Listed Starlight Stakes (1100m).

The other highlights in the October (Late) catalogue are:

All Hard Wood – 6YO gelding that’s a 4x winner, ran a gallant 2nd at Caulfield last Saturday

Another Encore – 1/2 sister to Stakes-placed Cardiff out of a Stakes-winning Sequalo mare, offered in foal to Better Than Ready

Bothered – 5YO Metropolitan-winning mare, a winner of five of 16 starts

Clarice Cliffs – G3 placed 6YO mare, winner at Caulfield and placed at Flemington, her Toronado 1/2 brother sold for $200,000 at 2020 Inglis Premier

Faatinaat – 3YO 1/2 sister to G1 Epsom Hcp winner Fat Al and out of 2x Stakes-winning 2YO Fatoon, offered by Emirates Park

Famous – 4YO gelding by Medaglia d’Oro from A Time For Julia, twice a winner from 9 starts at Newcastle and Wyong

Hortense – By Starspangledbanner and out of a 1/2 sister to Freemason, offered as a broodmare by Busuttin Racing following a last start 3rd at Moonee Valley

Neutron – Aquis-consigned 3YO gelding by Starcraft, a winner at the Gold Coast over 1400m

Peroxide Princess – 3YO More Than Ready filly out of a Redoute’s Choice sister to Strawberry Boy, one of three horses offered by John Singleton’s Strawberry Hill Stud in this sale

Pierro Rose – 4YO daughter of Pierro and QLD Oaks-placed Rose of Sharon, an Encosta de Lago 1/2 sister to Lotteria who has produced G3 Magic Night runner-up Time Is Precious, offered by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott

Royal Marine – 4YO gelding who won his third race from nine starts at Warwick Farm in September, offered by Chris Waller Racing

Sebrakate – 4YO multiple Stakes placed Sebring gelding who has form behind Bivouac, Super Seth and Dalasan, offered by Lindsay Park Racing

Stoked 10% Share – Won three races in succession before heading to the paddock for a four week break, will be aimed at city-class races next preparation, trained by Gold Coast-based Michael Costa

Up – 4YO Artie Schiller mare who is a 3/4 sister in blood to Stakes winner and G1 placed Vain Queen, offered by Rosemont Stud

The final countdown of bidding for the Inglis Digital October (Late) Online Auction begins 3pm (AEDT) Wednesday, October 28.

There are seven graduates of Inglis Digital representing the platform in Stakes races this weekend both in Australia and internationally.

Bella Vella ($22,500 April 2019) tonight returns to her favourite track Moonee Valley in the G1 Manikato Stakes (1200m) to attempt to add a second G1 to her resume.

Tomorrow on the W.S. Cox Plate undercard, I Am Eloquent (5% Share $16,000 – July (Late) 2020) will run in the G3 Powerflo Solutions Stakes (1600m), followed by $700 purchase Joey’s Gift (February (Late) 2020) in the Listed Crockett Stakes.

At Randwick, 7YO mare Insensata ($45,000 May 2020) will take her place in the G3 The Nivison (1200m) and Lee Freedman’s $65,000 buy Naval Warfare runs in the Listed Tattersalls Club Cup (2400m), for trainers Anthony & Sam Freedman.

In Singapore on Sunday, Man of Mystery [Blackworf Run] who was sold by Ballymore Stables for $32,500 in April 2018 will join Chris Waller’s $190,000 October (Late) 2019 graduate Armani [Charge] in the Listed Lion City Cup.
