Domesdays Few and Far Between

Exciting young sire Domesday has been a breakout success story in the second season sires division and with few of his progeny to be offered at sales in 2011 there will be tremendous interest in those that are available including a strapping colt from a terrific family that had a good pedigree update on Tuesday.

To be offered as Lot 450 by Goodwood Farm at the 2011 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale is this Domesday colt from Country Skies, the dam of Country Prince, who posted his first win at Goulburn.

Bred by South Coast based breeder Robert Hull, the colt is from the Contract Racing bred mare Country Skies, a half-sister to Group III winners Country Lodge and Razor Blade, who featured at the recent Melbourne Spring Carnival as the dam of classy three year-old filly Curtana.

Curtana chased home Star Witness for second in the Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes, before claiming a Listed win of her own at Flemington just a few days later.

The colt is line-bred to influential producer Best in Show, who is the ancestress of his sire Domesday and his dam sire Hurricane Sky.
