Double Sunday In Faith Yearling

Lindsay Park, the spectacular source of winners now restructuring, is presenting buyers with the opportunity at next week's Inglis Melbourne mixed sale to secure one of the most awesomely bred yearlings of 2009.

A September 15, 2008 born colt, he is by Keep the Faith, the Swettenham stud based sire who, following brilliant performances in Australia, crossed to America and in one of three starts sizzled to a new national grass track record for 1200m at New York's Belmont Park, and is tightly inbred (2x3) to the giant of Japanese breeding Sunday Silence (pictured).

The inbreeding flows from Keep the Faith, a sire whose first crop are 2-year-olds, being an Australian bred son of Sunday Silence and the colt's dam Sweet Macedon being by a shuttled Sunday Silence Japanese champion 2-year-old, Bubble Gum Fellow.

The colt is one of three yearlings by Keep the Faith consigned to the sale by Lindsay Park.

The other two are fillies and one of these is also inbred to a supersire in Danehill's sire Danzig. One of his sons is the maternal grandsire of Keep the Faith and another, Anabaa, is the sire of the dam of the yearling.

The catalogue for the sale, one to be held on Friday, December 18, includes19 yearlings with the others including offspring of Stratum, Econsul, Elvstroem, Face Value, Benicio and Delago Brom.

There are some very interesting packages in the 66 lot broodmare section which opens the sale.

They include mares with foals at foot by young sires Churchill Downs, Primus, Keep the Faith, God's Own, Gonski, Niello, Shinzig, De Beers, Al Samer, Al Maher, Deuteronomy, Artie Schiller and Delago Brom.

The catalogue also includes over 50 females and 30 males in the racehorse sections. Among the females are daughters of Rubiton, Galileo, Quest for Fame, Bianconi, Pins, Court of Jewels, Flying Spur, Encosta de Lago, General Nediym Testa Rossa, Clang, Tale of the Cat, Catbird, Mossman, Johannesburg, Choisir, Dash for Cash and Elusive Quality.
