Dual Gr1 Placed Filly Long Odds On For Maiden Win

One of last season's best juveniles, Lake Geneva (Fastnet Rock-Hips Don't Lie, by Stravinsky) is expected to tick an important box this afternoon at Hawkesbury.

Carded in Race 4 over 1000m, Lake Geneva should, on paper, simply blitz her rivals en route to breaking her maiden. That's reflected in the opening bookmaker quotes of $1.05.

Relatively lightly raced, the $1 million Inglis Easter Yearling purchase has competed four times to date.

Runner-up in the Gr3 Widden Stakes on debut, Lake Geneva's next two starts yielded placings in the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes and Gr1 Golden Slipper Stakes, before rounding out her juvenile season when placed in the Gr3 Royal Randwick Stakes on heavy ground.
