Owing to an outstanding response from vendors, the 2010 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale has been extended to four days, with 948 lots catalogued.
The sale will now be held from Tuesday April 13 to Friday April 16.
"The catalogue assembled boasts an outstanding array of breeding stock with something for everyone," Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy said.
"With entries topping 900, we decided to extend the sale to four days, with quality from start to finish. A General session of 131 mares will conclude the sale, following 817 mares in the Select session.
"Some of the high end mares are sure to command attention from international quarters. We are honoured to be offering Champion international mare Sun Classique in foal to top European stallion Oasis Dream. This represents a full circle, as she was also sold in utero at this sale."
The sale boasts many Group 1 winning and producing mares, along with a classy entry of fillies and mares off the track – a section that has been extremely popular in recent times.
Among the racing section is the multiple Group winner Chinchilla Rose, a timely entry, being a full-sister to Leone Chiara – dam of Saturday’s Blue Diamond winner Star Witness.
Adding depth to the sale is a number of dispersal and annual reductions.
Toorak Park Stud have an Unreserved Dispersal of 39 lots, headlined by Group 1 winner Serious Speed and the outstanding producer Picholine (dam of VRC Derby winner Rebel Raider and Norman Robinson winner Shamoline Warrior).
The Toorak dispersal will be held on Day 1, along with the 53 lot Arrowfield Annual Unreserved Reduction.
Patinack Farm will offer 103 lots as part of its Annual Unreserved Reduction across the four days of the sale.
Darley Stud also has 44 mares catalogued as part of its Annual Reduction, while Coolmore, Amarina Farm, Shipton Lodge and Invermien also have good-sized drafts.
The catalogued will be available online towards the end of the week.
