Entries Close Tomorrow For The $5 million Inglis Race Series

2015 Inglis Yearling Sale graduates have until 5pm tomorrow, Friday 31 July, to be entered into the $5 million Inglis Race Series.

Spanning their 2YO, 3YO and 4YO racing seasons, entrants into the series are eligible for Inglis Select Races, Inglis Bonuses and the big Inglis Triple Crown Bonus.

The series for 2015 sales graduates kicks off at Moonee Valley on WS Cox Plate Day with the running of the $250,000 RL Inglis Banner over 1000m. Named after inaugural winner Starspangledbanner the black-type race was won last year by Fontiton.

The RL Inglis Nursery has been boosted to $500,000 for 2015 sales graduates and will be run at Royal Randwick on Villiers Day, Saturday 12 December 2015. The lucrative event will additionally carry a $50,000 Vendor Bonus and $50,000 Supplier Bonus. The past two winners of the Inglis Nursery were subsequent Golden Slipper winner Mossfun and ATC Sires Produce runner-up Odyssey Moon.

The $250,000 RL Inglis Classic and $250,000 RL Inglis Premier will be run on the same day next year, Saturday 6 February 2016. The Classic race will be held at Royal Randwick, allowing patrons to easily transfer to Inglis’ Newmarket complex after the races for the opening night session of the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

The Inglis Premier race will be run over its traditional 1200m distance at Caulfield. First place prize money will all but assure the winner a place in the field for the $1 million Group 1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes 21 days later over the same course and distance.

A $50,000 Trainers Bonus is on offer to the trainer with the most wins in the Inglis Race Series for 2015 sales graduates and will be presented following the 4YO Inglis Cup over 2000m in Spring 2017.
