“The Great Southern Sale on 19, 20 and 21 June in Melbourne, is an outstanding opportunity for owners and vendors to trade their breeding stock, and as part of Inglis’ ongoing support of breeders and vendors in Victoria, we are delighted to offer new incentives in 2016.” said Inglis Victorian Manager Simon Vivian.

“Any proceeds of a horse’s sale price in excess of $100,000 will be commission-free, and travel rebates of up to $10,000 are available to farms with three or more horses in their draft,” said Vivian.

Travel rebates are available to vendors who sell three or more lots in their draft, paid according to the following structure:

Gross Turnover | Travel Rebate Payable To You ----- | ----- : $100,000 – $249,000 | $1,000 $250,000 – $499,000 | $2,500 $500,000 – $999,000 | $5,000 $1 million + | $10,000

The 2015 sale reached an all-time high, breaking records in most key metrics including average and median, where 597 horses sold through the ring at Oaklands, and a 72% increase in gross was recorded, all at an impressive 82% clearance rate.

“Already proving popular in its second year is the Platinum Weanling Session, in which vendors can enter weanlings with X-rays supplied. This avenue allows full confidence from investors come sale time,” said Vivian.

“A positive response has also been received for each of the broodmare, yearling and racehorse sections with the 2016 sale promising to deliver significant results to vendors and buyers,” Vivian added.
