Entries Closing For Summer Thoroughbred Sale

Entries for the Inglis Sydney Summer Thoroughbred Sale close this Friday, October 23.

The one day sale will be held at Newmarket on Friday, December 4.

This sale represents the last opportunity to sell mixed bloodstock in Sydney for 2009, with the next similar sale not scheduled until March 2010.

The Summer Thoroughbred Sale precedes the Melbourne December Thoroughbred Sale, to be held on December 18. Entries for that sale close on November 6.

"We have seen clearance rates consistently around the 90% mark at these recent sales," said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster.

"Furthermore over 10% of lots were purchased online at the Sydney Spring Sale, with half of the catalogue receiving an online bid."

The next sale on the Inglis Calendar is the inaugural Australian Racehorse Sale, to be held at Oaklands on November 15. Once again technology will feature strongly in this sale with online bidding and video footage of breeze ups, trials and races available at inglis.tv.
