Fastnet Colt Impressive in South Africa

Exciting prospect Liancourt Rock, a three year-old Australian bred colt by Fastnet Rock, scored his third successive win in South Africa on Wednesday.

The Dean Kannemeyer trained colt made it three wins in as many starts when he saluted over 1600 metres at Kenilworth by more than two lengths beating older horses.

Liancourt Rock (pictured as a yearling) was a $200,000 purchase from the Crowning Stone draft at the 2010 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale for Form Bloodstock and is from stakes-placed Hurricane Sky mare Zakuro, who comes from the family of Group I WATC WA Derby winner Mr Sandgroper tracing back to champion NZ broodmare Dulcie.
