Golden payday for Bold Eavey at Bendigo

It was a golden payday for the connections of Bold Eavey at Bendigo on Saturday, with the $6,500 yearling sale buy taking out the $100,000 2YO Inglis Gold Plate over 1100m.

Bold Eavey ($6,500 2012 Autumn, 2f Eavesdropper-Pocaterra) improved off her debut placing to gallop away to a two length win in the Inglis Gold Plate over Ilgattino ($5,000 Autumn) and Throw The King ($13,000 Autumn).

Purchased by her trainer Marcus Fahler as last year’s Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale the daughter of Eavesdropper collected $60,000 first place prizemoney for today’s win. Fahler also receives a pair of Swarovski Binoculars for winning the Inglis event.

Bred and sold by Emirates Park Stud, Bold Eavey is raced by Mrs J L Fahler, R A Russ, Mrs R K Coy, Mrs G V King, M B Weight, Mrs J A Simpson, J J Simpson & Sweet Success Racing (Mgr: D Sweetnam). An Antler Travel bag was also presented to the connections after the race by Inglis.

The $100,000 Inglis Gold Plate forms part of the $5 million Inglis Race Series.

Buyers will be presented with over 300 lots at next week’s new Inglis VOBIS Gold Yearling Sale at Oaklands, where all yearlings offered are eligible for nomination into the lucrative Inglis Race Series.

There are multiple Inglis Race Series events to be conducted in the next 30 days.
