The regally-bred Nostradamus (Medaglia d’Oro x Leone Chiara) (pictured as a yearling) was an impressive winner of the Group 3 SAJC RN Irwin Stakes over 1100m, cementing plans to head to the Group 1 SAJC Goodwood Handicap next month. .
This is the third win at this level for the Phillip Stokes-trained four-year-old entire, greatly exciting his part-owners which include leading Victorian breeders Rosemont Stud, Glentree Racing, Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm, Mr Peter Carrick, Musk Creek Farm, Mr M J Hirst, Princeton Thoroughbred Stud, Mr P Johnson, Mrs C M Mills, Mr B J Mcknight, Mr D Gangi, Mr H Wallace-Smith, Mr G K Snow and Mr Anthony P Mithen.
As a half-brother to Champion three-year-old and sire in his own right Star Witness, Nostradamus has proven his class showing nice ability to win again today.
Nostradamus was originally purchased from the Almavale Bloodstock draft at the 2013 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale by Kondouris Bloodstock, and now races for a large syndicate owners and breeders.
