History set to Repeat for Easter Three-Year-Olds

Anacheeva launched from this meeting to spring superstardom 12 months ago and fellow Easter graduates Amah Rock and Kneeling may do exactly the same after ultra impressive stakes wins at Moonee Valley today.

AMAH ROCK ($200,000 2010 Easter, 3g Fastnet Rock-Gainesville) was coming off an eye-catching Echuca debut win and punters were convinced enough in his ability to back him from $9 to $6.50 in the Listed McKenzie Stakes.

The Peter Morgan trained gelding didn’t let them down, unleashing a powerful finishing burst to nail Inglis Bonus race winner Hot Spin ($80,000 2010 Premier) in the final few bounds.

Anacheeva ($110,000 2009 Easter) won the same race last year before going on to claim the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas.

Amah Rock was sold by Tyreel Stud and was picked out of the sale by Dean Hawthorne.

Patinack Farm filly KNEELING ($340,000 2010 Easter, 3f Encosta De Lago-Sunday Service) was put away after an encouraging debut run and like Amah Rock, punters supported her heavily to win the Listed Crockett Stakes.

The money proved spot on when she finished over the top of hot favourite Hallowell Belle ($170,000 2010 Premier) in another Inglis quinella. Secret Hills ($130,000 2010 Premier) rounded out an Inglis trifecta.

The three-year-old duo capped a big day for Inglis graduates at the Valley, following earlier wins by BOOKLET ($85,500 2009 Premier, 4m Tale Of The Cat-Carabine) and THERE’S ONLY ONE (P$47,500 2009 Premier, 4m Testa Rossa-Aunty Hilda).
