Hollow Bullet is Right on Target

Outstanding filly HOLLOW BULLET (2003 Premier $10,000) indicated a big autumn could be on the cards when she made a sensational return to racing at Caulfield yesterday. The leggy three year old powered home to take out the MRC Kevin Hayes Stakes L, cruising clear with the greatest of ease to win with ears pricked.

"She never got off the bridle, she's a good horse," declared winning trainer John McArdle, who confirmed the filly will campaign in Sydney this autumn, with Group One races such as the STC Coolmore Classic and AJC Oaks her likely targets.

McArdle has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame with Hollow Bullet, whom he purchased for just $10,000 at the 2003 Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne.
