Howmuchdoyouloveme a great pointer to Classic Winter Book

Tenacious winner Howmuchdoyouloveme took his earnings past $425,000 on Saturday, exemplifying the quality prospects that can be acquired from the Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale for as little as $5,000.

Howmuchdoyouloveme ($5,000 2010 Classic, 4g Written Tycoon-Betula Belle) continues to defy his bargain yearling sale purchase price. He added another $51,500 to his winnings today when dashing away with the Listed BTC Lightning Stakes over the flying 1000m at Eagle Farm.

Now trained by Tina Cotsiopoulos, the son of Written Tycoon has won six of his 12 career starts and provided his owners with plenty of thrills since being snapped up for just $5,000 from the draft of Red Gums Stud at the 2010 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale.

Jockey Brenton Avdulla is confident there is plenty more to come commenting “one thousand metres is probably not his go as he hasn’t got that early toe anymore. I reckon in time he’ll develop into a good seven-furlong horse. It’s onwards and upwards.”

213 yearlings have been catalogued for the Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale Winter Book on Sunday 23 June 2013. The genuine sale has been split into a Select Session (Lots 1 to 144) and General Session (Lots 145 to 213).

The Winter Book leads directly into the 2013 Inglis Australian Weanling and Bloodstock Sale on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 June.

Quality yearlings, sires and vendors are all strongly represented in the Winter Book, which is set to enhance Classic’s outstanding record of rewarding buyers on the racetrack as have graduates Howmuchdoyouloveme, Fiveandahalfstar and many more.

The progeny of Widden Stud’s hot young sire Northern Meteor filled the quinella in the Group 1 BTC JJ Atkins Stakes on Saturday. Four yearlings by the son of Encosta de Lago will be offered by Inglis on 23 June at Newmarket.

Other leading and hot young sires represented in the Classic Sale Winter Book include Exceed And Excel, Fastnet Rock, Commands, Lonhro, Snitzel, Choisir, Not A Single Doubt, High Chaparral, Dane Shadow and Sebring.

The catalogue for the 2013 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale Winter Book is available online at www.inglis.com.au and on the Inglis Sales iPad app.
