Howmuchdoyouloveme completes big day for Nash

TVN - Joel Marshall - Saturday, 22 June 2013

Nash Rawiller finished off the day in grand style at Eagle Farm this afternoon, with wins aboard Red Tracer and Howmuchdoyouloveme.

After claiming the Tatt's Tiara aboard Red Tracer, Rawiller guided top sprinter Howmuchdoyouloveme to an all-the-way win in the Group 3 Healy Stakes (1200m).

Looking in trouble at the 200m when last year's Healy winner River Lad loomed up on his outside, Howmuchdoyouloveme dug deep to record the seventh win of his 13-start career.

"He was in a bit of trouble for a moment threre, but he really kicked back hard and did a good job to win," Rawiller said. "He travelled well in front and I thought on the turn that he would be hard to beat."

The four-year-old son of Written Tycoon is now trained locally by Tina Cotsiopoulos having been previously with the currently suspended Con Karakatsanis, and it provided the trainer with a great thrill.

"I'm so happy with that win. He is such a good horse and I knew he was on his game today when he was up on his toes in the mounting yard," Cotsiopoulos said.

"I will have a talk to the connections, but we'll probably to Grafton for the Ramornie now."

Howmuchdoyouloveme won the Ramornie Handicap last year. It was the first of his black type wins, of which he now has four.

River Lad tried valiantly to defend his Healy Stakes crown and ran well for second, while Dealgo Bolt had a slightly chequered passage in the straight, but managed to sneak home for third ahead of Gundy Son.
