17th Jan 2007

William Inglis and Son are pleased to announce some significant incentives for vendors at the 2007 Inglis Australian Select Weanling and Broodmare Sale. The most significant of which being the reduction of commission rates.

Any broodmare or weanling sold for $100,000 or above at the Inglis Australian Select Weanling and Broodmare Sale will be sold without commission being charged. Furthermore there will be no pass in commission charged at this sale.

For over fifty years the Inglis Australian Select Weanling and Broodmare Sale has been the number one breeding stock sale in the southern hemisphere.

The timing of this sale will give international buyers attending the Australian Easter Yearling Sale an added incentive to stay on at Newmarket. It will also ensure a large domestic buying bench will be in attendance.

Director Jonathan D’Arcy said, “William Inglis is committed to ensuring that this sale remains prominent on the international sales calendar. “

In 2005 the Inglis Australian Select Weanling and Broodmare Sale set the benchmark for breeding stock sales in the Southern Hemisphere. Selling for $2,050,000 to Darley, Mannington became one of three mares to break the million-dollar barrier for the first time at public auction in Australia.
