Ian Cornell appointed to Inglis Board

Inglis Chairman Mr John Coates AC, today announced the appointment of Mr Ian Cornell to the Inglis Board as a non-executive director, commenting, “We are delighted to have secured the services of Ian Cornell, a very experienced businessman and retailer with a great passion for thoroughbred breeding and racing. Ian will be familiar to many racegoers and will be a great asset to Inglis.”

Mr Cornell is currently the Director of Human Resources and Retailer Relations at Westfield Limited, having held this position for five years. Prior to this, he was their Director of Management and Marketing after joining the company in 2002. Mr Cornell spent 23 years with Woolworths Ltd, in various senior management positions, across several divisions, including Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Operations. His final role with Woolworths was Chief General Manager of Supermarkets. Ian is also a former CEO and Chairman of Franklins Limited, and has served on the Board of Dairy Farm Management Services Limited.

Ian commented that he was very much looking forward to joining the Board of Inglis at such an important time in their industry and with so many significant business initiatives underway. He sees this as a great opportunity to be able to participate in the future growth and success of such an outstanding company.

Mr Cornell is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Human Resources Institute, having attended both the Harvard Advanced Management Program and the Michigan Human Resource Program.
