Two of the thoroughbred racing industry’s most recognised and reputable brands have joined forces, with Inglis today announcing Ladbrokes Australia as its official wagering partner.

Inglis - Australia’s leading thoroughbred auctioneer and global tech innovator for the equine industry - has a history of excellence, founded on the basic principles of honesty and integrity and has operated as such for 156 years.

Ladbrokes is operated in Australia by Entain, an international powerhouse, and one of the world’s largest sports betting, gaming and interactive entertainment groups which operates in 40 regulated or regulating territories, with brands including Ladbrokes, Neds, Sportingbet, Coral and its joint venture in North America, BetMGM.

Entain Australia and New Zealand CEO Dean Shannon said Ladbrokes was a natural partner of Inglis given its racing-first approach.

“Ladbrokes in Australia is proudly a racing-first brand led by racing-first people and I am delighted to be able to secure this partnership with Inglis,” Shannon said.

“Inglis is an iconic brand and business, synonymous with racing in Australia and we are both very much aligned in a joint vision to grow and promote the sport.

“In recent times Ladbrokes has launched key racing initiatives through our Ladbrokes Racing Club and the Ladbrokes Owners Incentive Scheme, which is live in Tasmania and Victoria.

“Similarly, through our approach to content, we are very focused on connecting our customers with racing, giving them greater access and experiences, and this partnership with Inglis will help us fast track our ambitions in many areas.”

Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster is excited by the chemistry between the two companies.

“One thing that stands out with both Inglis and Entain is we are customer-centric companies, everything we do is about putting the customer first and working with them and for them to provide a richer and more engaging and successful experience,’’ Webster said.

“The Entain experience at our sales is going to be stimulating for our clients and will provide another opportunity for them to participate in something fun and enthralling.

“Thank you to the Entain team for working with us over this period to ensure the two brands come together in what is an exciting time for both companies.

“I’d also like to acknowledge our Group Commercial Manager Jono Adler who has worked tirelessly to ensure this partnership with Entain became a reality because it really is an ideal fit.

“It is an exciting time in our industry and we look forward to a future full of promise and opportunity with Entain.’’
