Inglis Entrusted With Shipton Lodge Dispersal

November’s Australian Racehorse Sale in Melbourne and next week’s Sydney Spring Thoroughbred Sale have been boosted by the inclusion of a number of quality horses from Bob and Anne Marie Ruttley’s Shipton Lodge, located in Cobbitty NSW.

The Ruttleys have entrusted Inglis with selling their significant bloodstock interests, following a decision to disperse and redevelop facilities at Shipton Lodge. They will rebuild their bloodstock holdings in several years when all work is complete. Approximately 150 thoroughbreds will be dispersed via Inglis over the next 9 months.

In addition to the upcoming racehorse sales, Shipton Lodge will also send a draft of quality mares to next year’s Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale and weanlings to the Inglis Australian Weanling and Breeding Stock Sale in June 2010. Yearlings will be dispersed at the Inglis Classic and Easter Yearling sales in 2010.

Shipton Lodge will send 10 horses to next Friday’s Spring Thoroughbred Sale, including Don’t Tell Pat, who is already the winner of five races and recently ran a strong second to the smart Serenissima at Randwick.

Shipton will disperse 27 ready made racehorses at the Australian Racehorse Sale in Melbourne on November 15, including Mr Vincent, a very promising son of Galileo with three wins to his credit. The draft also includes two beautifully bred and promising placed race mares by Redoute’s Choice, Baby Boom and Madam’s Choice.

In addition to tried racehorses, Shipton will offer an outstanding line up of two years olds, including two by Australia’s leading sire of the current season, Lonhro, and two by former champion sire Flying Spur. Other sires of two year olds include Red Ransom, Sharmadal, Galileo, God’s Own, Falbrav, Fantastic Light and Elusive Quality.

“We are thrilled that Shipton Lodge has elected to disperse through Inglis,” Managing Director Mark Webster said.

“In particular, it is a significant vote of confidence in our new Australian Racehorse Sale, for which we are receiving excellent entries.

The trials will be filmed by TVN and footage will be available on the Inglis website www.inglis.com.au at least 3 weeks before the sale. Race footage of all tried horses will also be available online by mid October.
