Inglis Launch New Website Featuring a New Racehorse Sharemarket

Inglis has launched a new interactive website, highlighted by the new and unique Inglis Sharemarket and Inglis Advanced Search.

The new website, still at www.inglis.com.au, follows a long list of state of the art innovations in 2008, including Inglis TV, Internet Repository, Make an Offer and online bidding services introduced by Inglis to assist customers achieve their goals, vendors and buyers alike.

Inglis Sharemarket

That trend continues in 2009 with the Inglis Sharemarket – a major innovation to assist syndicators sell horses after each sale and new owners in their search for a share in a racehorse.

"This is another world first for a sale company and offers both syndicators and potential buyers a single destination for available shares,” Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.

"This is a free service for horses purchased through Inglis sales, and for a small fee, syndicators can also list non-Inglis graduates. The Inglis Sharemarket is a major new innovation to help the industry keep moving forward and a number of Australia’s leading syndicators have already embraced the concept. We think it’s important to help syndicators after the fall of hammer to onsell their purchases as quickly as possible. The Sharemarket will be promoted in our catalogues and via a wide range of media outlets, including TVN and free to air television coverage of Inglis sales and races.”

Buyers can search by sire, price range, syndicator and the location of where the horse will be trained. Syndicators Harry Lawton, Rob Slade and Jamie Walter have already uploaded shares for sale and a number of others will soon join them.

Denise Martin proprietor of Star Thoroughbreds is thrilled that Inglis has introduced this service, commenting "The Sharemarket is another wonderful innovation by Inglis. Their efforts to promote racehorse ownership and their ongoing support for syndicators before and after sales should be applauded. I will be using this service to market my horses.”

Dean Watt from Dynamic Syndications commented that, "Inglis have hit a home run with their new Sharemarket. This type of product with the reputation of Inglis behind it is exactly what syndicators and new owners are looking for. It’s a great thing for our industry and shows just how pro-active Inglis has become in helping their clients.”

Inglis Advanced Search

The Inglis Advanced Search facility provides users with an unprecedented level of interactive searches.

Advanced Search

Yet another Inglis first, online catalogues can be searched by nicks and crosses, dam line and sire lines going back several generations.

"Searches can be conducted on both the sire and dam side of a pedigree and if you are looking for yearlings or breeding stock that descends from a high profile family, you can search all dams in the family,” Webster said.

"For instance, a search of Denise’s Joy in the online Inglis Classic Sale catalogue reveals the revered matron has three descendants for sale at Newmarket next month, while the similarly influential Easy Date has two.”

"This search engine provides potential buyers with an instant, powerful, easy to use tool where users can interrogate a catalogue more quickly than ever before.”

The Nicks and Crosses search allows users to quickly find the number of horses entered in sale by searching under sire, grand sire and dams sire. For example, a search of the Inglis online catalogues will reveal there are two yearlings out of Zabeel mares that are by grand-sons of Danehill in the Sydney Classic Sale and three in the Melbourne Premier Sale.

The new Inglis website also features Inglis News and Industry News, while a single Inglis Membership (free) allows access to Inglis eCommerce, Online Bidding and Inglis Sale and Media alerts.

Inglis.com.au now features user generated content and interaction with both Inglis staff and other users via polls and forums.

Inglis TV continues to grow and at the present time features separate TVN previews for each of the Classic, Premier and Easter yearling sales.

New and extremely fast live video streaming of sales will feature on Inglis TV in 2009, where viewers can select different camera locations, including one of the pre-sale parade ring in addition to the sale ring.

A Site Search - located on the top of each page - finds all stories and prior sales results that relate to a keyword, phrase or name.

Stay tuned, several other innovations will be launched in the weeks ahead. Go to www.inglis.com.au to take a look and sign-up today for free membership.
