Inglis again hosted a number of the world's leading thoroughbred identities at their annual post race picnic on the opening day of the famous Royal Ascot meeting and for the third consecutive year celebrated an Australian victory.
The opening day has been dominated by Australian runners Choisir, Takeover Target, Miss Andretti and Haradasun in recent years and West Australian gelding Scenic Blast has now joined that illlustrious honour role.
"This has turned into a wonderful function and something that our guests have come to very much look forward to," Jamie Inglis said.
"The aim of the event is two-fold. Firstly, it provides an opportunity for leading international bloodstock identities and key industry people in Europe to gain a greater awareness of the Australian Thoroughbred Industry.
"Secondly, it gives Australian trainers, connections and breeders an opportunity to interact and forge relationships with global industry participants, while at the same time enjoying a great day's racing."
Inglis said the event had grown in stature, just as Australian horses' reputations had in recent years.
"Since we have been here, there is no doubt familiarity with Australian horses and our industry has grown," he said.
"Undoubtedly the success of the Australian horses, coupled with this function, has led to increased interest and participation at our sales from clients in this part of the world."
Australian sprinters are now recognised as the best in the world and Inglis stands a great chance of adding to its Royal Ascot roll of honour when Champion Sprinters Sacred Kingdom and Takeover Target line up in this Saturday's G1 Golden Jubilee Stakes.
