Inglis secure Swiss luxury watch maker Jaeger-LeCoultre as official timekeeper of the sales

Mark Webster, Managing Director of Australia's leading thoroughbred auctioneers Inglis, today announced that Swiss luxury watch maker Jaeger-LeCoultre will partner with the firm as the official timekeepers of the Inglis Sales at Newmarket.

Inglis, (Est. 1867) is an Australian family owned company that was founded on the basic principles of honesty and integrity. Like Jaeger-LeCoultre, Inglis is a renowned international brand known throughout the world, synonymous with style class and quality, selling the best horses in the Southern Hemisphere.

Through this partnership, Jaeger-LeCoultre will provide time clocks situated in the sales ring at Newmarket displaying the time at the three leading sales company headquarters in the world: Newmarket United Kingdom, Kentucky USA and Sydney Australia.

The timepieces will be installed after the Inglis Australian Easter sales to coincide with the 80th Anniversary of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch. A luxury watch specifically designed for the equine industry and synonymous with the world's leading polo players.

Steve Mellin, Brand Manager for Jaeger-LeCoultre said the company was pleased to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of its iconic watch the Reverso by partnering with Inglis & J Farren-Price (NSW distributor of JCL, authorised dealer of Jaeger-LeCoultre). Each of these three brands is an icon in its field and all three have stood the test of time with the commitment to achieving the highest possible quality.

The Reverso watch was born in 1931 in India in response to English polo players' desire for an elegant watch capable of surviving polo. By creating a reversible watch with a case that would revolve in order to protect the dial the designers of the Reverso knew that they had found the answer to suit the polo player's needs.

Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said the partnership has an obvious synergy in the high quality timepieces and the quality yearlings we are offering in the coming weeks at Newmarket.
