Inglis to auction Elvstroem filly at Sale Cup

To coincide with the running of the inaugural $100,000 Inglis Trophy over 1400m for 3yo’s on Sale Cup Day, Sunday October 25, Inglis will auction off a bay filly by Elvstroem. From winning Royal Academy mare Terra Nova, this is the immediate family of Octagonal, Bonanova and Danewin.

Elvstroem (pictured) is the sire of the moment, with Viking Legend and Carrara completing an interstate stakes double for the young Danehill stallion last weekend. He will also be represented this weekend by the Gai Waterhouse trained Actrice, well fancied in early markets for Saturday's Listed Gimcrack Stakes for 2yo fillies at Randwick.

Currently being prepared for sale by the breaker of Elvstroem, Julien Welsh, the unbroken 2YO filly will be sold between races on the Sale Turf Club’s feature day.

The Sale Turf Club is also delighted to be able to offer the successful bidders the services of Julien to break in this filly at a heavily discounted rate.

Furthermore the filly will be automatically included with free entry into the lucrative $2.6million Inglis Race Series.

"The success of the Inglis Race Series has enabled us to include the $100,000 Inglis Trophy for three-year-olds as an additional race to the inaugural programme." said Inglis Commercial Development Manager Matt Rudolph.
