Inspections Begin Ahead of Inglis Autumn Yearling Sale this Sunday

Yearlings have arrived and inspections have begun ahead of the 2009 Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale, which begins at Oaklands from 12pm this Sunday, April 26.

The sale continues from 11am the following day, with a total of 373 yearlings catalogued.

Outstanding sprinter Secret Flyer, a cavalier winner at Flemington last Saturday and now being aimed at Group 1 targets, cost just $29,000 out of the 2005 Autumn Yearling Sale.

Rok Posta is another stakes winner this season to have graduated from the sale and he cost just $20,000.

The Group 1 winners Pompeii Ruler, Grand Journey and Lazer Sharp could all have been purchased for $20,000 or less out of this sale.

Graduates of this sale are eligible for the $2,500,000 Inglis Race Series, in addition to the $100,000 Autumn Plate, which is restricted to Autumn Yearling Sale graduates only.

The sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day Live, with up to the minute statistics. Online bidding is available for those not able to make it to Melbourne and all passed in horses will be offered via the Make an Offer service.

The Autumn Yearling Sale will be followed by the HTBA Scone Yearling Sale on May 14, with the 212 lot catalogue now online.
