Autumn Yearling Inspections Begin Wednesday

Inspections for the 2012 Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale, which will be held over two days starting this Sunday, April 29, will begin on Anzac Day, this Wednesday.

A total of 430 yearlings have been catalogued with an additional 21 supplementary entries. These supplementary entries include yearlings by Australia's reigning Champion Sire Lonhro, Black Caviar's sire Bel Esprit, Not A Single Doubt, Dehere, Rock Of Gibraltar and Bianconi.

Other star stallions represented at Autumn include Fastnet Rock, Encosta de Lago, Reset, Stratum, Choisir, Statue Of Liberty, Written Tycoon, Artie Schiller and Charge Forward.

The catalogue also includes yearlings by 21 first season sires.

Autumn continues to be a great value sale, with graduates including this season's Group 1 Australian Guineas placegetter Mister Milton, who was sourced for a mere $7,500 in 2010.

Others include the G1 WATC Derby winner Grand Journey, $477,000 earner and 19 times winner Periduki, stakes winners Secret Flyer, Status Symbol, Broadway Harmony and She's Got Gears.

This year's catalogue includes progeny of stakes winning dams like Halibery, Countess Christie, Happen, Wrap Around, La Italia, Night's Upon Us, Plaudits, Princess Pulse, Rosarino, Steffi, Trick Of Light, Video Star, Barcelona, Bellendella Dream, Courtly Qualms, Defrere's Venture, Dipping and It's A Miracle.

There are also half relations to stakes winners Dr Doutes, Secret Land, Conquering Queen, Royal Babe, World Fortune, Art Success, Personal Ensign, Centurytwentyone and I Have No Fear.

All yearlings offered at the 2012 Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale are also eligible to be entered into the lucrative $5m Inglis Race Series, which includes the 2YO $100,000 Inglis Autumn Plate restricted to nominated graduates of this sale.

The sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day Live, with Online Bidding available for all buyers unable to attend the Oaklands complex on Sunday and Monday.
