Inglis August Thoroughbred Catalogue now online

The catalogue for the Inglis Melbourne August Thoroughbred Sale is now online.

To be held at Oaklands on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th August, the catalogue numbers 287 lots.

The sale boasts quality lots, including broodmares, stallion prospects, yearlings, unbroken stock, racehorses and shares in Makybe Diva and Desert War's sire Desert King.

Highlights of the catalogue include young stud prospects Allied Force and Excelltastic, both impeccably bred and well performed grandsons of the great Danehill.

To date, 124 broodmares have been entered, including mares by Danehill, Snippets, Zabeel, Rory’s Jester, Flying Sur, Marauding, Redoute’s Choice & Encosta de Lago.

The catalogue also contains 49 half sisters to stakes winners, including 15 Group One winners. Covering sires include Fastnet Rock, Choisir, Stratum, Exceed And Excel, Lonhro, Bernardini & Magnus.

"The quality of this catalogue continues to go from strength to strength each year and breeders will have plenty to choose from among the fillies and mares," said Inglis Director Peter Heagney.

As usual, there is a strong selection of yearlings, race fillies and geldings to choose from.

A parade of Victorian first season sires will precede the sale. Commencing at 11am on Thursday 19th it will include Newmarket Hcp G1 winner WANTED, dual G1 winning sprinter TURFFONTEIN, G2 winner and Golden Slipper runner up VON COSTA DE HERO along with G2 Chelmsford Stakes winner O’LONHRO.
