Melbourne Autumn Yearling catalogue online

The catalogue for next month’s Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale featuring 430 lots is now online at www.inglis.com.au

The 2012 renewal will be held at Oaklands on April 29 and 30, with over 60% of the yearlings Super VOBIS and VOBIS Gold eligible.

Autumn is a great value sale having unearthed bargain priced gallopers such as G1 WATC Derby winner Grand Journey, $460,000 earner Periduki, stakes winners Secret Flyer, Status Symbol, Broadway Harmony and She’s Got Gear’s, plus Saturday’s G1 VRC Australian Guineas placegetter Mister Milton.

Mister Milton was picked out of Autumn for just $7,500 and going on Saturday’s strong third behind Mosheen and Strike The Stars the son of Snippetson looks sure to add plenty more this season to his $181,850 career prizemoney earned so far.

Nicskioffski is another Autumn graduate that looks to have a bright future. The two-year-old daughter of Gonski was picked out of Autumn for just $9,000 and is now the winner of two of three starts after saluting at Sandown late last month.

“For a sale that averages less than $12,000 the Autumn Yearling Sale has produced some fantastic racetrack results for both our Australian and overseas based clients,” Inglis Melbourne Director Peter Heagney said.

“The extra prizemoney recently committed by the Victorian government plus the addition of VOBIS Gold make it extremely attractive to race a horse here in Victoria.

“From next season a Super VOBIS and VOBIS Gold eligible horse will earn $41,650 for winning a midweek metropolitan race like that which Autumn graduate Nicskioffski won 12 days ago,” Heagney said.

All yearlings offered at the 2012 Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale are also eligible for nomination into the $5million Inglis Race Series, which includes the $100,000 Inglis Plate restricted to Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale graduates.

This year’s $100,000 Inglis Autumn Plate for two-year-olds will be run over 1100m at Bendigo on April 11.
