Seven consecutive victories, an unbeaten stakes winner, what more could you ask for in a quality racehorse? Based on his success on the racetrack throughout his short career to date, Lucky Secret is a deserved recipient of William Inglis & Son’s Horse of the Month for July.

Debuting in December early last year with a demoralising 4 length victory at a Moonee Valley night meeting, the Easter Sale graduate showed connections a sustained burst of speed that indicated a degree of superiority over his rivals.

Seven starts later and an average winning margin of 2.4 lengths, the Rubiton gelding is the winner of the Listed $100,000 W.F.A. Sir Monash Stakes at his first attempt at black-type. Treating his opposition with contempt, Lucky Secret strode to an easy length victory.

Described by trainer Tony Vasil as a “magnificent type”, Lucky Secret was purchased by Worldwide Bloodstock for $220,000 at the 2005 William Inglis & Son Australian Easter Yearling Sale, making him one of the most expensive Rubiton yearling’s purchased at public auction.

Justifying his trainers’ faith with his unbeaten run, Lucky Secret is sure to further scale the heights of success upon his return to the track after a well deserved spell.

William Inglis & Son would like to congratulate both the trainer and owner’s of Lucky Secret for his unbeaten run and wish all concerned the best of luck for his future racing career.
