Mark Kavanagh is warming his talented team up for the autumn carnival and now he has more room to boost his numbers.
The Flemington trainer moved to Melbourne almost two years ago and hit the ground running with the likes of Maldivian, winner of last year's Cox Plate.
Kavanagh quickly ran out of room as his numbers swelled but this week relocates to the former Flemington stables of David Hayes, who is downsizing, and John Hawkes, who relocated.
The move will almost double Kavanagh's numbers and allow him to have 60 horses in work at Flemington, as well as a string at his Morphettville base in South Australia.
Kavanagh has Maldivian back in work, who will be aimed at the Australian Cup, kicking off in the C.F. Orr Stakes. He may then continue to Sydney for their autumn carnival.
Rising star Whobegotyou will have a light campaign targeting the Cadbury Guineas before another spell and aiming for next year's spring carnival.
Other budding stars from the stable preparing for the autumn include Dr Doute's, Cat's Whisker and the super honest Sea Battle.
