Killua Castle Makes It Nine In Four Months

Killua Castle has become the ninth Inglis graduate in four months to win at stakes level in South Africa. The four-year-old took out the Group 3 Jubilee Handicap over 1800m at Turffontein on Saturday.

Australian bred and Inglis sold gallopers are well respected in South Africa thanks to the deeds of champions such as Igugu and Musir, but the current crop could be the best yet.

“Inglis has worked tirelessly to promote the great attributes of our client’s yearlings to the South African market for a number of years. South African buyers such Mike de Kock, Geoff Woodruff and Joey Ramsden have supported our sales tremendously and the recent results are just rewards for everyone’s efforts,” said Simon Vivian, Inglis’ South Africa Representative.

Killua Castle (Churchill Downs x Prayers'n'promises) was bred by Mr K Heffernan and sold by Blue Gum Farm for $50,000 to Paul Guy’s Heritage Bloodstock at the 2011 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
