The main Inglis Christmas Thoroughbred Sale catalogue of 237 horses will be joined by the biggest supplementary catalogue Inglis has ever offered with 94 lots, taking the sale to a total of 331 lots.
Extensive offerings from many well known studs include a dispersal sale from Ken and Helen Delforce’s Kendel Park Stud. Resident stallion Sedaka, the impeccably related Danehill (USA) half-brother to Gr 1 winnersLonhro and Niello will enter the ring as Lot 147.
Kendel Park will also offer a large selection of broodmares served by an array of stallions including the Gr 1 producing Magic Albert and Carnegie (IRE), as well as Grandera (IRE), Untouchable, King De Lago and of course Sedaka.
Large drafts from Emerald Thoroughbreds, Bridgeview, Monarch, River Hills, Ilala and Newhaven Park Stud will give buyers a plentiful selection of broodmares, racehorses, yearlings and untried stock.
Of the notable horses in the main catalogue, none will receive more attention than Lot 118, an Encosta de Lago yearling half-brother to Gr 2 winning Flying Pegasus who has been accepted for the 2007 William Inglis & Son Easter Yearling Sale. In the Broodmare section Lot 67 Zaloot will be offered with a Galileo filly at foot and has been covered by Starcraft.
Anticipated highlights from the supplementary section of the sale will includeLot 241Festive Season, the unraced Redoute’s Choice mare is a half-sister to stakes winners Celestial Show and Fashion Victim. She will be offered with a September cover to highly anticipated first season sire and multiple Gr 1 winner Lonhro.
Among the draft from Bill Benson’s Emerald Park Thoroughbreds is Little Rumours, a winning Vettori (IRE) mare which will be presented as Lot 245. From a black type laden family which includes Gr 1 winner Penny Gem (NZ) and Alynda as well as up and coming sprinter of the future Fast ‘N’ Famous, Little Rumours will be offered with an early September cover to Nureyev’s (USA) Gr 3 winning son Pure Theatre (NZ).
Lot 246the dual Gr 1 winning Electrique, a proven stakes producer will be offered after being covered by the well related Gr 2 winning Thunder Gulch (USA) stallion, Tsuimai. Colony Surf (USA) an unraced Storm Bird (USA) mare will also be offered after being served by Tsuimai. Being sold as Lot 247, Colony Surf (USA) is the dam of multiple stakes performer My Halo Broke amongst 4 winners produced.
