Last Chance to Buy a Fastnet Yearling

19th Jun 2012

Breednet - Tara Madgwick - Monday, 18 June 2012

The Inglis Weanling and Bloodstock Sale next week is the last major sale before the end of the financial year and one of the highlights is a Fastnet Rock colt that was withdrawn from Inglis Easter due to a minor injury and is now ready to be sold.

Consigned by Mike O'Donnell of Fairhill Farm, the colt will be offered as Lot 576 and is the second foal from well-bred import Mis Excitabull (USA), a half-sister to stakes-winner Taletobetold from the Fanfreluche family that has given us champion sires Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur.

"It was disappointing not to be able to offer him at Easter, but he's a lovely horse and has recovered well from the injury that forced his withdrawal,” said Mike O'Donnell.

"We retained the first foal from Mis Excitabull, a two year-old filly by Holy Roman Emperor that is in work with Steve Farley and the mare is due to foal to Hinchinbrook this year.”
