Melbourne Gold inspections begin TOMORROW

All is in readiness for Sunday’s Melbourne Gold Yearling Sale, for which inspections begin tomorrow.

A total of 261 yearlings – 241 in the main catalogue and 20 supplementary entries – will be offered for the sale, which has produced some outstanding results in recent years including the likes of Group 1 winner Malaguerra (cost $32k, has won $1.9m), Group 1-placed I’ll Have A Bit (cost $48k, won $676k), Lyuba (cost $2k, has won $445k), Sirbible (cost $3.5k, won $326k) and Desert Lashes (cost $3k, has won $370k).

Three farms – Stockwell Thoroughbreds, Stonehouse Thoroughbreds and Sunhill Bloodstock – will be open for parades from midday tomorrow, Wednesday April 24.

The majority of drafts will be available for inspection from Thursday while all offerings will be parading by Friday morning.
